Merlin & Laura
Merlin was born at his family home in Galesville, Wisconsin, on January 13, 1925 to Hans and Alma Westlie. He met Laura Harnisch at a barn dance and they fell in love. They married July 15,1944 from then on they were the model of true teamwork and devotion throughout their 65 years of marriage. In 1958 Laura and Merlin started farming here on Silver Creek Road where Merlin spent 60 years farming this land. Merlin was always willing to help others and enjoyed talking about farming and the weather. He devoted his life to his wife, church, farming and his registered Guernsey cattle.

THE JOHNSONS
Farming, Family, Friends brought the farm into the Johnson Family
Tim and Natalie Johnson bought the Westlie Farm during the winter of 2020 to increase their farming acreage nearby. The plan evolved into another adventure for a family wedding venue, which meant a barn renovation needed to happen. With the barn renovation and the gorgeous sunsets our goal is to keep the farm as natural as possible but to use it for events for families and friends to enjoy the gorgeous outdoor sites.
